Description

Chemical leaks and spills are serious health hazards when they come into contact with unprotected skin, splashed into your eyes, inhaled, or accidentally ingested. Chemical leaks and spills can also cause potentially serious damage to the immediate environment.

Failure to comply with government safety regulations can cause your company exposure to risks such as, damage to property, hazard to personnel, and the environment. Additionally, it may also mean hefty fines and liabilities for your company, business, or organisation.

Containment bunds, also called spill pallets, are designed to meet unique and the harshest Australian conditions. They also feature polypropylene grated floors that are removable, which allows for easy access and cleaning, or reclaiming any spilled or leaked liquid in the bund. Their removable grates also serve as easy access to remove small creatures that made their way into the bund sump.

Small Bunds

Polyethylene Bunded 40L Decant Stand
This line of small bund has been designed for storing and decanting 20 litre drums. It can support a 20 litre container from the top, which would allow liquids to be decanted into a bucket or jug on its lower level.

Its polyethylene construction can capture drips, leaks, or any overflow with this 40 L mini bund. This decanting bund is an ideal, and an economical, solution for capturing spills while liquids are being dispensed. This particular small bund has been designed to store and decant liquids from 20 litre drums.

Spilled liquids can be reclaimed through a 20 mm drain, its sump capacity is up to 40 litres.

Low Profile Polyethylene Drum Bund – Half Pallet Size

They can also be used for smaller items such as batteries. Our DBPG2LP Half Pallet Low Profile has a bund sump capacity of 83L with a maximum universally distributed load (UDL) is 1,500 kg.

Its polyethylene construction makes it tough, durable, and makes it so resistant to most chemicals, oils, and fuels. An added advantage is that it can be easily cleaned.

Also, inclusive are its sump-to-sump bund connectors that seamlessly join your bund sumps to create a larger sump. This combination results in increasing your sump capacity for a larger overall catchment volume.
\
All our low profile drum bunds have been fully heat and compression tested by NATA accredited engineers.
\
We also offer an optional bund ramp, which makes it easy for drum trolleys easy access to the joined raised platform.

Note that our Half Pallet size and Pallet Size low profile bunds are not recommended to be used to store 205L drums. It is considered best practice that a bund should include a sump capacity of at least 110% of the largest container that is stored on it. For example:

Our DBPG2LP Half Pallet Low Profile has a bund sump capacity of 83L with a maximum universally distributed load (UDL) is 1,500 kg.

Our DBPG4LP Pallet low profile bund sump capacity of 145L with a maximum UDL of 2,800 kg.

Spill pallets feature encapsulated data plates with important information such as sump capacity, maximum UDL, composition materials, and net weight.

To enhance the effectiveness of your spill pallet, we also offer an optional Canvacon drum bund cover to prevent any rainwater from entering and collecting into the bund sump.

Before you create your bunded platform:
Ensure that the bunded area where you choose to situate bunded floor system must be free from rocks, sticks, small stones, grit, or debris. It is advisable to clear the area of these obstructions and to sweep the area clean prior to assembly.

Also, ensure the area you wish to assemble a bunded floor system is situated on level ground.

Also note that portable bunding units are designed for secondary and temporary storage. Check with your local council or regulatory body if you are unsure on your storage compliance obligations.

Tailgate Delivery Terms and Conditions

Any additional handling or manoeuvring to get the items in to position that requires specialised equipment, such as a tailgated truck or a truck mounted forklift, is not covered by any free freight offers.

For those who are new to freight, a tailgate truck (also known as a tail-lift truck or hydraulic truck) has a rear platform which can be lowered to the ground for convenience when unloading heavy goods.  This is a requirement for unloading freight over 30kg when a forklift is not available on site to unload the delivery vehicle.  Carriers class this as a specialised delivery service, and charge a premium for tailgate deliveries.

Tailgate delivery is to the front door, carport, or closest practical delivery point as deemed by the driver. There must be reasonable vehicle access with height clearance.

Tailgate shipping adds an extra $135 + gst to shipping fees during checkout to cover costs.

NOTE: Selecting the WRONG answer in regards to tailgate shipping means the carrier may be unable to unload your items and may need to re-deliver it.  The Customer will be liable for any further charges for re-delivery should this occur.  Should you have questions or if you are unsure please contact us first.
