Description
General purpose spill kits, universal spill kits, or all-liquid spill kits main purpose is to soak up spills such as degreasers, coolants, paint, bodily fluids, blood, oils, and fuels. They can also be used to soak up mild acids, bases, and water-based chemicals.
The basic procedure is to immediately contain and control the spread of whatever substance is spilled, to render it harmless, and to dispose of it safely. Also, even if the substance is not toxic or hazardous, wet floors can cause people to slip and cause harm.
A spill kit is a set of equipment that is well-organised that has been specifically designed to deal with cleaning up substances, from simple spills to problem causing leaks. Spill kits are your first line of defence against spills in the workplace.
Portable spill response kits can be quickly delivered to sites of spills. In addition to weatherproof wheeled containers, they also come in high visibility spill response bags that can be carried virtually anywhere.
These cost-effective solutions can be used with all-liquid spills on surfaces. General purpose spill kits can provide clean up protection for many workshops, warehouses, factories, and vehicle applications. They are also effective for use in hospitals, laundries, or commercial kitchens.
These general purpose absorbents are colour-coded grey for easy identification.
