IBC spill containment bunds are a major advantage and frequently a requirement for many businesses around Australia. Whether storing commonly used liquids or speciality chemicals, you need to have the right precautions in place to protect everyone in or near your workplace. Read on to find out more about the benefits of using these products.

Safer Clean Up

The Advantages Of Having IBC Spill Containment Bunds by Wholesale Safety Storage AustraliaIBC containment bunds make cleaning up liquids or chemical leakage, spills and overflow much safer. As the liquid or chemical solution is contained within the space, clean-up crews can handle the waste safely without walking through the chemicals and risking harm to clothing, skin, or the environment. In addition, drainage plugs in the sump, you can safely remove and correctly dispose of leaks and spills without causing undue harm. Protect your workers properly when you have preventative protection systems in place.

Bunded Work Floor

Our low profile spill bunds can also be joined to create a bunded floor around the work area. An installation like this is ideal for protecting your entire workspace from potentially leaking chemicals or other liquids that cause injury or falls. This safety feature minimises the damage caused by chemicals, not only where they are stored, but also at workstations and when transported through your building or warehouse. These products are designed to protect your working space ensuring no leaks will slow down your productivity.

Prevents Contamination

Containing liquids and chemicals within the bunded catchment area prevents overflow from contaminating any surrounding products or processes. In addition, liquid chemicals can spread quickly, which means that safety measures are required to protect your drains and water supply. It also prevents the leaking chemicals from mixing with other chemical materials, resulting in spontaneous combustion or an adverse chemical reaction. These are all threats to the health and safety within your business operations, and proactively taking care of the issue ensures you have a safer space for workers.

Prevents Corrosion

Corrosive chemicals can cause incredible damage to a work site if they leak. They can destroy flooring, metal work benches or tools, organic compounds, and more.  The most popular of our spill pallets and containment bunds are made from roto-moulded polyethylene with injection-moulded polypropylene grates sitting above the catchment area, that can prevent the corrosive substances from eating away at the trays and entering your workspace.

IBC spill containment systems give you a safe and reliable way to ensure no leaking chemicals endanger your workforce. These high-quality products deliver trusted containment to store a large range of chemical solutions safely. Contact us today to find out more about the available products.

Tailgate Delivery Terms and Conditions

Any additional handling or manoeuvring to get the items in to position that requires specialised equipment, such as a tailgated truck or a truck mounted forklift, is not covered by any free freight offers.

For those who are new to freight, a tailgate truck (also known as a tail-lift truck or hydraulic truck) has a rear platform which can be lowered to the ground for convenience when unloading heavy goods.  This is a requirement for unloading freight over 30kg when a forklift is not available on site to unload the delivery vehicle.  Carriers class this as a specialised delivery service, and charge a premium for tailgate deliveries.

Tailgate delivery is to the front door, carport, or closest practical delivery point as deemed by the driver. There must be reasonable vehicle access with height clearance.

Tailgate shipping adds an extra $135 + gst to shipping fees during checkout to cover costs.

NOTE: Selecting the WRONG answer in regards to tailgate shipping means the carrier may be unable to unload your items and may need to re-deliver it.  The Customer will be liable for any further charges for re-delivery should this occur.  Should you have questions or if you are unsure please contact us first.
