Indoor Pesticide Storage

Description

A pesticide is a substance or organism that is used to eliminate, incapacitate, modify, inhibit growth, or repel pests. The agents can be natural or synthetic chemicals, mixtures of these chemicals, that work as biological control agents.

In Australia, toxic substances, including pesticides are classified as dangerous goods may also be classified as workplace hazardous substances.

We cannot stress enough, the importance of storing toxic chemicals correctly. These chemicals do pose a threat and may put your safety and the people working with these chemicals, as well as the environment, at risk.

It is important to store pesticides in a regulation compliant store, preferable isolated and secure and where in the event of spills or emergencies can be dealt with safely.

You have a responsibility when dealing with pesticides to ensure that your actions do not harm the environment, other people or their property, or yourself. Compliance with the relevant legislation should reduce the risk of harm occurring due to your actions.

Accordingly, all other laws related to pesticides obligate you to meet your legal obligations. Pesticides must be used responsibly by understanding and adhering to the laws governing their use. Pesticides must be stored, transported, applied and disposed of in accordance with all laws.

When it comes to safe storage, one significant aspect is the potential for human harm through exposure-accidental or intentional-especially when it comes to children. The proper storage of chemicals can also help prolong their shelf life and prevent accidents that may cause damage to property or the environment.

Agriculture and industry in Australia rely heavily on pesticides.
Pesticides are used by lawn care companies, parks, golf courses, and farms to keep unwanted pests under control and increase productivity.

Nevertheless, those using pesticides in their production processes must properly store them. Failure to store pesticides properly can cause serious harm to workers, the environment, and the neighbouring communities. Not to mention the risk of incurring serious fines for non-compliance.

If your business constantly works with pesticides or need to store them, use safety cabinets. But not just any cabinet, but ones that fully comply with regulations and in full compliance with AS4452-1997 – The storage and handling of toxic substances.

Construction: WSSA Indoor Pesticide Storage Cabinets come in 30, 60, 100, 160, 250, and 350 litre capacities are All-Australian Made and built for Australian conditions.

\
Do note that 250L storage capacity is the maximum quantity of toxic substances that is allowed by law to be stored indoors in accordance with Australian Standards. Our 350 litre cabinet for this line is designed for outdoor use in a weatherproof area.
\
The advantage of powder coating over conventional paint is that it makes the finish of the cabinet more durable than just paint.
\
They also feature vent ports with integral flash arrestors that are fitted on each side of the cabinet. And they have adjustable feet that are used to level the cabinet on uneven surfaces.
\
Also integrated in our line of Pesticide Storage Cabinets is a suspended perforated floor and spill containment sump with drain. The sump is specifically designed to contain any spillage of materials coming from the contents of the cabinet.
\
All our Indoor Pesticide Storage Cabinet meet and fully comply with AS4452-1997 – The storage and handling of Toxic Substances. They are built with a heavy-duty steel construction with durable UV-stabilised high gloss white powder finish.
\
The use of UV stabilised high gloss white powder finish, also provides the best resistance against corrosion than any other commercially available finish options. Also, it makes it easier to clean and maintain the cabinet with powder coating. Further, it also keeps the superstructure of the cabinet free from oxidation, which prevents rust from forming on its primary steel structure.
\
All our cabinets on this line feature flush handle for the doors with key locks. Vent ports are also integrated alongside flash arrestors that are fitted on each side of the cabinets.

Tailgate Delivery Terms and Conditions

Any additional handling or manoeuvring to get the items in to position that requires specialised equipment, such as a tailgated truck or a truck mounted forklift, is not covered by any free freight offers.

For those who are new to freight, a tailgate truck (also known as a tail-lift truck or hydraulic truck) has a rear platform which can be lowered to the ground for convenience when unloading heavy goods.  This is a requirement for unloading freight over 30kg when a forklift is not available on site to unload the delivery vehicle.  Carriers class this as a specialised delivery service, and charge a premium for tailgate deliveries.

Tailgate delivery is to the front door, carport, or closest practical delivery point as deemed by the driver. There must be reasonable vehicle access with height clearance.

Tailgate shipping adds an extra $135 + gst to shipping fees during checkout to cover costs.

NOTE: Selecting the WRONG answer in regards to tailgate shipping means the carrier may be unable to unload your items and may need to re-deliver it.  The Customer will be liable for any further charges for re-delivery should this occur.  Should you have questions or if you are unsure please contact us first.
