Why Pallet Bunds Are Essential Safety Items by Wholesale Safety Storage Australia

If you work with chemicals and liquids, you must invest in pallet bunds. If you store any liquids on your site, it is good to have these products ready as they can save you from mess and accidents. Ideal for pollution prevention and catching any leaks or spills that may occur during the storage of chemicals or liquids. The safety products are made from durable materials and can hold a significant amount of liquid without issue. A handy investment that can help you maintain cleanliness around your workspace and ensure no slipping hazards are present. Whether storing potentially hazardous liquids or large amounts of beverage, these products help to reduce the risk of spill and lengthy cleanup. Read on to find out more about these products.

What Is A Pallet Bund?

Why Pallet Bunds Are Essential Safety Items by Wholesale Safety Storage AustraliaThis product is an outer case that holds the bottom of the primary storage unit. Secondary containment can fully encase the tank or be fitted underneath to form a barrier between the product and the ground. These items can be fixed or removable, giving you various options to suit your specific business needs. Many working in produce and commercial shipping will have experience with these items to protect the warehouses and transport vehicles from potential damages.

Their Benefit

These specially crafted products capture liquids if the container fails or is damaged, catching every drop that may make its way out. This coverage means that fluids are captured and held in a container until they can be safely removed, rather than escaping the site and causing hazards. Whether water, oil or alcohol, with the right support products in place, you can ensure no leaks or spills will cause trouble.

Upkeep Needs

Bunds must be checked regularly to ensure they are in good enough working order to be filled. Checks should cover potential cracks, chips, or flaws in the system and any signs of seeping around the base. These are all red flags that you need to repair the tank system before using. This should be done regularly, with results noted and compared to find deteriorating areas. You may also carry out more extensive checks to ensure no issues with seals and spill catchment systems. Any problems associated with the products should be addressed quickly to maintain integrity.

Pallet bunds are valuable products that can help you contain potential leaks and spills when dealing with liquids in your business setting. With the right products in use, you can save time and effort when cleaning up leaks or spills. In addition, these systems protect you and your staff from any danger a leak may cause, be it chemical burn or simple slipping risk. Contact us today to find out more.

Tailgate Delivery Terms and Conditions

Any additional handling or manoeuvring to get the items in to position that requires specialised equipment, such as a tailgated truck or a truck mounted forklift, is not covered by any free freight offers.

For those who are new to freight, a tailgate truck (also known as a tail-lift truck or hydraulic truck) has a rear platform which can be lowered to the ground for convenience when unloading heavy goods.  This is a requirement for unloading freight over 30kg when a forklift is not available on site to unload the delivery vehicle.  Carriers class this as a specialised delivery service, and charge a premium for tailgate deliveries.

Tailgate delivery is to the front door, carport, or closest practical delivery point as deemed by the driver. There must be reasonable vehicle access with height clearance.

Tailgate shipping adds an extra $135 + gst to shipping fees during checkout to cover costs.

NOTE: Selecting the WRONG answer in regards to tailgate shipping means the carrier may be unable to unload your items and may need to re-deliver it.  The Customer will be liable for any further charges for re-delivery should this occur.  Should you have questions or if you are unsure please contact us first.
