4 Ways to Get the Right Safety Storage

4 Ways to Get the Right Safety Storage by Wholesale Safety Storage Australia

When you work with or use hazardous chemicals in Australia, the Work Health and Safety (WHS) Regulations require that safety in the workplace be maintained at all times.

When you implement a hazardous substance storage solution for your workplace, it is important to confirm that the solution is compliant with regulations. Failure to comply with regulations places your organisation at risk of liability – which may include human, environmental and financial costs associated with an incident onsite.

Australian businesses recognise the value of complying with stringent safety standards, and Wholesale Safety Storage Australia (WSSA) is your go-to source for safety storage solutions. With our commitment to meeting Australian standards and with a 100% guarantee on all our Australian-made products, WSSA is your trusted partner for safeguarding your workplace.

The Importance of Safety Storage for the Australian Workplace.

Having safety storage is simply not a compliance requirement; it is a fundamental element of workplace safety, mitigating catastrophic accidents, environmental damage, and legal consequences.

Here are key reasons why safety storage is important for the Australian workplace:

The Importance of Safety Storage for the Australian Workplace

Explanation

Australian Standards Compliance Safety storage is a legal requirement in Australia, and businesses must adhere to strict Australian standards to ensure the proper handling, storage, and transportation of hazardous materials.
Protection of Employees Safety storage solutions protect employees from workplace accidents, injuries, and health risks from chemical spills, fires, and exposure to harmful substances.
Protection of the Environment Inadequate safety storage can lead to environmental contamination, soil and water pollution and harm to local ecosystems. Compliant safety storage mitigates risks associated with accidental spills and leaks, reducing environmental damage.
Safety for the Community Unsafe storage can put nearby communities at risk in the event of accidents involving dangerous goods. Adequate safety storage measures protect the broader community’s health and well-being.
Reduced Liability Businesses that implement proper safety storage practices are less likely to face legal claims, fines, or lawsuits related to workplace accidents, reducing liability.
Enhanced Safety Culture Safety storage is integral to fostering a safety-conscious workplace culture. Demonstrating a culture encourages employees to adopt a safety-conscious attitude, resulting in a safer and more productive environment.
Preventing Work Disruptions Accidents and emergencies in the workplace can lead to downtime and financial losses. Proper safety storage and practices minimise the risk of accidents, ensuring the continuity of business activities.
Crisis Mitigation Unforeseen emergencies like chemical spills or fires can be minimised by having the right safety storage solution. It helps contain the situation, reduce damage, and protect lives and property.
Asset Protection Hazardous materials are valuable assets in many manufacturing industries. Having safe storage helps in safeguarding these assets from possible damage or theft.
Regulatory Inspections Authorities conduct safety inspections regularly to ensure your business is compliant with safety standards. Proper safety storage solutions enable businesses to pass through these inspections without issues, avoiding penalties and business disruptions.

Tailgate Delivery Terms and Conditions

Any additional handling or manoeuvring to get the items in to position that requires specialised equipment, such as a tailgated truck or a truck mounted forklift, is not covered by any free freight offers.

For those who are new to freight, a tailgate truck (also known as a tail-lift truck or hydraulic truck) has a rear platform which can be lowered to the ground for convenience when unloading heavy goods.  This is a requirement for unloading freight over 30kg when a forklift is not available on site to unload the delivery vehicle.  Carriers class this as a specialised delivery service, and charge a premium for tailgate deliveries.

Tailgate delivery is to the front door, carport, or closest practical delivery point as deemed by the driver. There must be reasonable vehicle access with height clearance.

Tailgate shipping adds an extra $135 + gst to shipping fees during checkout to cover costs.

NOTE: Selecting the WRONG answer in regards to tailgate shipping means the carrier may be unable to unload your items and may need to re-deliver it.  The Customer will be liable for any further charges for re-delivery should this occur.  Should you have questions or if you are unsure please contact us first.
