Workplace Situations That Require Flammable Storage Cabinets In Australia

If your business is using class three flammable liquids, then you understand the significant risks that these chemicals pose to your business and staff. You will also understand just how important proper storage is to mitigate the risks as much as possible.

But, how do you store class three flammable liquids? The most ready to use solution are flammable storage cabinets in Australia, which are easy to install and use within a business setting.

Still, a common question remains, which is: “when are flammable storage cabinets required?” Although there is no one straightforward answer, there are several workplace situations where you should use a regulation storage cabinet.

So, if you recognise any of the situations in your workplace, you may want to consider installing a flammable storage cabinet from Wholesale Storage Solutions Australia.

Workplace Situations That Require Flammable Storage Cabinets.

Keeping your business safe is of the utmost importance, especially since you built it to what it is today with your own two hands, sweat and tears. The last thing any business owner wants to see is their business being taken under, especially by something that could have been prevented with an easy and readily available solution.

So, in the spirit of keeping your work environment safe, let’s discuss when flammable storage cabinets should be used.

    1.  If your flammable liquids quantities exceed those classed as minor storage.
    2.  If your workplace has ignition sources such as sparks, open flames, or hot objects. Flammable storage cabinets help reduce the risks of flammable vapours sparking and causing a dangerous explosion. The cabinet should be placed at least three feet away from any potential ignition sources.
    3.  You need a flammable storage cabinet in the workplace when incompatible substances are present. Bringing flammables and other hazardous substances together could cause severe chemical reactions. A flammable storage cabinet provides segregation of incompatible chemicals in the workplace.
    4.  A flammable storage cabinet is necessary when the chemicals used in your workplace release large quantities of flammable vapours. High concentrations of chemical vapours can result in adverse health effects such as asphyxiation or intoxication if inhaled unknowingly.

If you see similarities in the above examples to situations in your workplace, it may be time to install flammable storage cabinets in Australia.

Tailgate Delivery Terms and Conditions

Any additional handling or manoeuvring to get the items in to position that requires specialised equipment, such as a tailgated truck or a truck mounted forklift, is not covered by any free freight offers.

For those who are new to freight, a tailgate truck (also known as a tail-lift truck or hydraulic truck) has a rear platform which can be lowered to the ground for convenience when unloading heavy goods.  This is a requirement for unloading freight over 30kg when a forklift is not available on site to unload the delivery vehicle.  Carriers class this as a specialised delivery service, and charge a premium for tailgate deliveries.

Tailgate delivery is to the front door, carport, or closest practical delivery point as deemed by the driver. There must be reasonable vehicle access with height clearance.

Tailgate shipping adds an extra $135 + gst to shipping fees during checkout to cover costs.

NOTE: Selecting the WRONG answer in regards to tailgate shipping means the carrier may be unable to unload your items and may need to re-deliver it.  The Customer will be liable for any further charges for re-delivery should this occur.  Should you have questions or if you are unsure please contact us first.
