Why You Should Be Using A Steel Drum Containment Bund

Drum containment bunds made from powder coated steel can be useful for your business in more ways than one. They are not only cost-effective catchment solutions but also ideal for moving and easy to work with. Whether transporting oils and fuels, or grain and food products, these storage catchment designs can be an easy-to-stack away or wash, catching anything that may leak out while being transported or stored.

Read on to find out more about these container options on offer.

Durable Composition And Design

These products are specially designed and manufactured with galvanised steel and epoxy powder undercoat, plus UV-stabilised polyester powder topcoat.  They are built in compliance with Australian safety standards, created to withstand the potential damage and corrosion brought on by dangerous chemicals. Our range of drum bunds come with polyethylene or powder coated steel options readily available, so you can ensure every need is suited.  Having a spill containment product designed in this way, drums can be placed above the catchment area while still on a pallet, or individually to catch anything that may leak while in place.

Improved Control

Containment safety options like these are a legal requirement in Australia that is required to keep your workspace a safe space to operate at all times.  These products keep you in line with Work Health and Safety standards across the country. Apart from being a legal requirement, these products also ensure you can always control the chemicals you are working with. Protecting you from a leak without constant checking, anything unseen will still make its way into the catchment space below the drums.

Easy Maintenance

Due to the material design as well as physical structure, spillages can easily be washed and rinsed, ready for the next job. The chemicals caught can also be easily and safely disposed of, ensuring no leak or contamination to the area while working. As these chemicals pose a major risk to machines and staff alike, it is best to have reliable solutions in place in case of a leak or spill.

Tailgate Delivery Terms and Conditions

Any additional handling or manoeuvring to get the items in to position that requires specialised equipment, such as a tailgated truck or a truck mounted forklift, is not covered by any free freight offers.

For those who are new to freight, a tailgate truck (also known as a tail-lift truck or hydraulic truck) has a rear platform which can be lowered to the ground for convenience when unloading heavy goods.  This is a requirement for unloading freight over 30kg when a forklift is not available on site to unload the delivery vehicle.  Carriers class this as a specialised delivery service, and charge a premium for tailgate deliveries.

Tailgate delivery is to the front door, carport, or closest practical delivery point as deemed by the driver. There must be reasonable vehicle access with height clearance.

Tailgate shipping adds an extra $135 + gst to shipping fees during checkout to cover costs.

NOTE: Selecting the WRONG answer in regards to tailgate shipping means the carrier may be unable to unload your items and may need to re-deliver it.  The Customer will be liable for any further charges for re-delivery should this occur.  Should you have questions or if you are unsure please contact us first.
