Why Businesses Need Biohazard Spill Kits by Wholesale Safety Storage Australia

Why Businesses Need Biohazard Spill Kits

Biohazard spill kits are important safety products to have when dealing with a range of hazardous chemicals. From medical to industrial, a range of settings require these products on standby to clean up leaks or accidents that may occur. As these materials pose a risk to the health and safety of everyone in the immediate area, they must be managed, stored, and cleaned correctly to ensure all codes and standards are met. Read on to find out more about these essential products.

Effective Spill Clean-Up

These kits contain everything necessary to clean up leaks and dangerous materials effectively. In addition, they have the right contents to clean in a way that won’t threaten the user and the immediate environment. Without an on-site solution to these potential issues, you won’t be able to respond quickly enough to contain leaks or uncontrolled incidents. However, with an on-site solution ready to go, you can ensure that your company has a fast, effective, and safe method of cleaning up these messes.

Cost-Effective

Spills are costly. An on-site solution is easy to locate and pre-packed with all materials for safe and effective spill clean-up. This allows employees to address the issue immediately. In addition, by allowing workers to return to work immediately, the company can save money that could have been lost due to a serious incident in other cases.

Safer Work Environment

On-site chemical containment solutions can give workers peace of mind when working around potential hazards. They can rest easy knowing that, even if they are working with potentially toxic chemicals, the facility, themselves, and other employees can be kept safe in case of accidents or leaks. In addition, it is required by law to have the correct safety precautions when working with these chemicals.

Legislative Concerns

Australia has strict environmental laws. As a result, businesses must do their due diligence and equip facilities with tools and processes to handle spills and other emergencies. An on-site solution for chemical or universal incidents is required to comply with local laws and regulations. These cleanup solutions are designed to safely contain any leaks while minimising potential health and environmental risks posed by incidents.

A biohazard spill kit can be essential to the business safety puzzle when dealing with hazardous chemicals. Professional solutions are trusted and give you every tool you need to rectify these issues. Contact us today to find out more.

Tailgate Delivery Terms and Conditions

Any additional handling or manoeuvring to get the items in to position that requires specialised equipment, such as a tailgated truck or a truck mounted forklift, is not covered by any free freight offers.

For those who are new to freight, a tailgate truck (also known as a tail-lift truck or hydraulic truck) has a rear platform which can be lowered to the ground for convenience when unloading heavy goods.  This is a requirement for unloading freight over 30kg when a forklift is not available on site to unload the delivery vehicle.  Carriers class this as a specialised delivery service, and charge a premium for tailgate deliveries.

Tailgate delivery is to the front door, carport, or closest practical delivery point as deemed by the driver. There must be reasonable vehicle access with height clearance.

Tailgate shipping adds an extra $135 + gst to shipping fees during checkout to cover costs.

NOTE: Selecting the WRONG answer in regards to tailgate shipping means the carrier may be unable to unload your items and may need to re-deliver it.  The Customer will be liable for any further charges for re-delivery should this occur.  Should you have questions or if you are unsure please contact us first.
