What Is The Purpose Of a Flammable Liquids Storage Cabinet by Wholesale Safety Storage Australia

What Is The Purpose Of a Flammable Liquids Storage Cabinet

Flammable liquids storage cabinets are widely used for Class Three flammable goods among the nine groups of dangerous goods. Almost every job has flammable liquids. The ease with which flammable fluids release energy and combust is one of the reasons for their broad use.

You may use that energy to run motors in power plants, vehicles, earth movers, generators, and a variety of other machinery. In addition, thinners, cleaning agents, adhesives, solvents, paints, polishes, waxes, and varnishes contain flammable substances.

In our advanced society, flammable liquids are useful. Their hazardous physical and chemical qualities, on the other hand, pose numerous threats to property, people, and the environment in which your company operates. Therefore, you must buy a flammable storage cabinet to store flammable liquids safely and efficiently to reduce the dangers associated with them.

What Function Does a Flammable Storage Cabinet Serve?

Flammable liquids storage cabinets refer to safety cabinets designed and manufactured primarily to store class 3 flammable liquids. Flammable liquids storage cabinets are designated for the storage of hazardous goods;

  • To keep the contents safe from harm.
  • To create a barrier between incompatible compounds.
  • Containing spills
  • Allow at least ten minutes for people to escape or utilise firefighting equipment in the event of a fire.

Prevents Damage To The Contents Of The Cabinet

When ignitable liquids are utilised in the working area, it’s critical to ensure the packaging isn’t broken and the materials aren’t polluted. If the packages containing flammable liquids are damaged, the flammable fluids may seep into the workspace.

When ignitable liquids aren’t collected, flammable vapours are more easily dispersed. These dangerous vapours will ignite if they come into proximity with an ignition source, causing a significant fire that will endanger persons and property.

You will find a double wall sheet steel construction on a flammable liquids storage cabinet that has been built in complete compliance with AS1940. External moving items will not be able to harm the cabinet’s contents because of the heavy-duty structure.

Storing Dangerous Goods Cabinets In Working Environments

In the case of fire-resistant cabinets, the 90-minute requirement would have outshone previous cabinet models with lower flame resistance and had become state-of-the-art.

When purchasing a flammable liquids storage cabinet for your chemicals, make sure you choose a cabinet that will withstand the elements. Our knowledgeable staff can assist you in making the best decisions for your space. To learn more about these services, please contact us today!

Tailgate Delivery Terms and Conditions

Any additional handling or manoeuvring to get the items in to position that requires specialised equipment, such as a tailgated truck or a truck mounted forklift, is not covered by any free freight offers.

For those who are new to freight, a tailgate truck (also known as a tail-lift truck or hydraulic truck) has a rear platform which can be lowered to the ground for convenience when unloading heavy goods.  This is a requirement for unloading freight over 30kg when a forklift is not available on site to unload the delivery vehicle.  Carriers class this as a specialised delivery service, and charge a premium for tailgate deliveries.

Tailgate delivery is to the front door, carport, or closest practical delivery point as deemed by the driver. There must be reasonable vehicle access with height clearance.

Tailgate shipping adds an extra $135 + gst to shipping fees during checkout to cover costs.

NOTE: Selecting the WRONG answer in regards to tailgate shipping means the carrier may be unable to unload your items and may need to re-deliver it.  The Customer will be liable for any further charges for re-delivery should this occur.  Should you have questions or if you are unsure please contact us first.
