Using The Right Storage Options For Hazardous Chemicals by Wholesale Safety Storage Australia

Using The Right Storage Options For Hazardous Chemicals

Storage of hazardous chemicals must have adequate spacing to be safe in any business environment. Chemicals pose risks to employees or bystanders when poorly managed, whether in a laboratory, facility, or industrial setting. However, when you have compliant dangerous goods storage, you can organise these items and maintain the integrity of the bottles, cans, or aerosols.

Read on to find out more about the products on offer.

Carefully-Designed

Our large range of dangerous goods storage options are designed for this specific housing purpose, catching leaks and spills. All cabinets and cages have appropriate ventilation in accordance with Australian Standards. With our storage options, you can ensure that the business environment is adequately prepared and can contribute effectively and safely to operations without the risk of damages or delays. Various design features are incorporated in the makeup of these containers, from the material used to how leaks are contained. For example, some cabinets have a bunded area for spill catchment, and others have a made to be portable to allow for improved versatility.

Mitigating Factors

You must have a container spill protection element when dealing with liquids, especially in large supplies. With the appropriate storage options, you can avoid leakages and spills escaping. In addition, you can ensure that chemicals are safely stored and treated no matter what the substance is. From non-corrosive coatings to fire-resistant options, we can offer the best storage for your needs.

Increased Ventilation

Ventilation is key when containing any items that may give off fumes over time. Fumes can increase pressure when in an enclosed cabinet and become a major risk to anyone nearby. In addition, when fumes combine with a spark or fire, it could be a massive disaster risk. When you have a cabinet with the right ventilation design, you get the assurance that no fumes are building within the space, and there is no increased risk if any leak is present in a potentially pressurised space.

Non-Corrosive Coatings

When storing harsh chemicals, you need cabinets made from the right materials. Our chemical resistant thermoplastic coatings ensure corrosion cannot occur, providing a stable, reliable container for your liquid products in use.

The storage of hazardous chemicals is imperative to the safety of your business. It protects your employees, suppliers, and potentially even clients, and is part of Australian Law. Professional solutions can make all the difference to your operation, no matter your industry. Contact us today to find out more.

Tailgate Delivery Terms and Conditions

Any additional handling or manoeuvring to get the items in to position that requires specialised equipment, such as a tailgated truck or a truck mounted forklift, is not covered by any free freight offers.

For those who are new to freight, a tailgate truck (also known as a tail-lift truck or hydraulic truck) has a rear platform which can be lowered to the ground for convenience when unloading heavy goods.  This is a requirement for unloading freight over 30kg when a forklift is not available on site to unload the delivery vehicle.  Carriers class this as a specialised delivery service, and charge a premium for tailgate deliveries.

Tailgate delivery is to the front door, carport, or closest practical delivery point as deemed by the driver. There must be reasonable vehicle access with height clearance.

Tailgate shipping adds an extra $135 + gst to shipping fees during checkout to cover costs.

NOTE: Selecting the WRONG answer in regards to tailgate shipping means the carrier may be unable to unload your items and may need to re-deliver it.  The Customer will be liable for any further charges for re-delivery should this occur.  Should you have questions or if you are unsure please contact us first.
