Features
When storing corrosive, flammable or oxidizing substances even if it’s done outdoors, it’s important that the storage is designed that it minimises the potential risk the dangerous materials brings to your business, personnel and the environment. This is achieved by designing and manufacturing the cabinet according to Australian standards, and that means following some features.

Construction: Our Outdoor Dangerous Goods Cabinets are made with Heavy Duty Galvanised steel. Galvanised steel has unique benefits compared to normal untreated steel. Galvanised steel has lower maintenance costs, longer life (life expectancy of steel with galvanized coating is in excess of 50 years in rural environments and 20 to 25 plus years even in coastal and urban areas). Galvanized steel coating has a unique structure metallurgically that gives it a very high resistance to mechanical damage.
Our Outdoor dangerous goods cabinet features a rear sloping roof and gutter. This is to reduce any admission of rainwater to the inside of the cabinet potentially damaging the contents of the cabinet.

The Outdoor Dangerous Goods material cabinet’s super structure (the parts that are critical to its structural integrity) is made of materials that will not melt in temperatures below 850 degrees Celsius. This does not include the cabinet’s seals and gaskets of course.

Our doors aside from being constructed from double walled steel and insulated, have a self-closing feature. This is to minimize the exposure of the contents from external elements and reducing the risk caused by the human negligence. The doors also include a three point self-latching system

Integrated with every one of our indoor Outdoor Dangerous Goods cabinets are liquid-tight sump that is at least 150mm deep (more capacity for cabinets with larger capacities). The sump is designed to contain only liquid that is spilled inside the cabinet.

The walls of our storage cabinets include built in ventilation ports that is fully in accordance with Australian standards. Our Cabinets are well ventilated to prevent any highly dangerous fumes from accumulating inside the cabinet.

To avoid any static or electrical discharging accident that might cause the contents of the cabinet to ignite, an earthing lug and earth stake was incorporated into the design of our cabinets. Located on the outside panel of the cabinet for ease of installation for earthing purposes.
We have included built in forklift tyne slots make the cabinet easily transportable and will fit majority of forklift tynes in the market.
Since you are storing potentially dangerous goods in these cabinets, security is a top concern. We have added an ISO locking bar in the design of our outdoor dangerous goods cabinet to provide an added layer of protection.
The cabinet will then be sealed by a highly durable and very visible, glossy, high build 2 pack epoxy primer and semi-gloss 2 pack polyurethane yellow top coat (dry film of 200 microns in accordance with AS2312.1-2014). Between this coating and the galvanized coating already on the steel, it gives our cabinets’ unparalleled durability despite being outside and exposed to the elements.

Safety and warning signage are also pre applied in the most visible locations of the cabinet to comply with Australian standards.

The reason we make built to order outdoor dangerous goods cabinets is that with these kinds of storage they are meant to cater to specific classifications of goods according to Australian Standard.

Our purpose built outdoor dangerous goods storage cabinets offer superior quality and longevity in comparison to other market alternatives. Our outdoor dangerous cabinets are an excellent investment especially if your company is concerned with the safety of the people around you, your business, assets, equipment, and the environment.
To protect the people, property, and environment, of your organisation from the risks associated with storing and handling flammable, corrosive, oxidizing and other potentially dangerous goods, it’s extremely important to ensure that you store them in a safe and compliant manner. These dangerous goods can be safely stored outdoors using a specifically made outdoor dangerous goods storage cabinet. Outdoor dangerous goods storage cabinets must be manufactured and used in accordance with strict specifications, to effectively protect your workplace from the risks associated with these dangerous goods.
For businesses that handle any amount of Outdoor Dangerous Goods, knowing what goes into a quality, regulation compliant, Outdoor Dangerous Goods storage cabinet is a matter of utmost importance. It can be considered as the first line of defense in case of any untoward accident. It must be noted that Australian Standard compliant storage is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to safety. Do your research and follow safety protocols to be sure you and your business are ready when the time comes.

Tailgate Delivery Terms and Conditions

Any additional handling or manoeuvring to get the items in to position that requires specialised equipment, such as a tailgated truck or a truck mounted forklift, is not covered by any free freight offers.

For those who are new to freight, a tailgate truck (also known as a tail-lift truck or hydraulic truck) has a rear platform which can be lowered to the ground for convenience when unloading heavy goods.  This is a requirement for unloading freight over 30kg when a forklift is not available on site to unload the delivery vehicle.  Carriers class this as a specialised delivery service, and charge a premium for tailgate deliveries.

Tailgate delivery is to the front door, carport, or closest practical delivery point as deemed by the driver. There must be reasonable vehicle access with height clearance.

Tailgate shipping adds an extra $125 (inc GST) to shipping fees during checkout to cover costs.

NOTE: Selecting the WRONG answer in regards to tailgate shipping means the carrier may be unable to unload your items and may need to re-deliver it.  The Customer will be liable for any further charges for re-delivery should this occur.  Should you have questions or if you are unsure please contact us first.
