If you’ve ever spent time around a toddler, you’ll know the havoc that ensues when they spill their juice or attempt to pour a glass of chocolate milk by themselves. The screams of utter desperation and terror are hard to forget, but at least you don’t get second and third-degree burns from pasteurised dairy products!

Unfortunately, accidents in the workplace can be a lot more aggressive and destructive, especially in the presence of harmful substances. However, as much as we attempt to avoid them, they do and can happen at any time, so it’s essential that you and your team are prepared. This is when collapsible spill bunds are an ideal solution and an asset to the health and safety of your business.

When you’re handling dangerous liquids in the workplace, efficient spill containment should be emphasised. So, get in touch with Wholesale Safety Storage Australia to view our full range of spill containment solutions!

Selecting The Right Spill Bund.

Collapsible spill bunds are used in a variety of industries simply because it is a reliable temporary solution to the existing framework of spill containment. In addition, they are recognised for their lightweight and durable design and flexibility to move from one location to another with little effort. But, how do you choose the correct bund for your specific operations? Let’s find out!

Before you select a collapsible bund, it’s important to ask yourself three important questions:

  1. What chemical products do I want to contain?
  2. How much liquid could potentially need to be contained?
  3. What kind of environment will the bund be exposed to?

Answering these questions will give you a clear idea of what requirements the bund will need to meet, ensuring you have the right material, capacity type and suitable accessories.

The next step in choosing the right collapsible bund for your needs is to speak to a spill containment specialist. They will help you determine chemical compatibility and capacity specifications and ensure you know how to deploy it effectively in an emergency.

There is nothing more important than ensuring the safety of your business, employees and environment, and a collapsible bund will help you rectify unforeseen accidents as quickly as possible.

Tailgate Delivery Terms and Conditions

Any additional handling or manoeuvring to get the items in to position that requires specialised equipment, such as a tailgated truck or a truck mounted forklift, is not covered by any free freight offers.

For those who are new to freight, a tailgate truck (also known as a tail-lift truck or hydraulic truck) has a rear platform which can be lowered to the ground for convenience when unloading heavy goods.  This is a requirement for unloading freight over 30kg when a forklift is not available on site to unload the delivery vehicle.  Carriers class this as a specialised delivery service, and charge a premium for tailgate deliveries.

Tailgate delivery is to the front door, carport, or closest practical delivery point as deemed by the driver. There must be reasonable vehicle access with height clearance.

Tailgate shipping adds an extra $125 (inc GST) to shipping fees during checkout to cover costs.

NOTE: Selecting the WRONG answer in regards to tailgate shipping means the carrier may be unable to unload your items and may need to re-deliver it.  The Customer will be liable for any further charges for re-delivery should this occur.  Should you have questions or if you are unsure please contact us first.
